Vintage Bentley Founder Switches To Synthetic Fuel
William Medcalf, founder of Vintage Bentley, was talking to his daughter Charlotte who pointed out that the cars he races are ‘bad for the environment’.
This has led Mr Medcalf to think about alternatives to traditional fuels, resulting in him finding a German company that creates fossil-free synthetic fuel.
Synthetic fuels are made by extracting carbon dioxide and water from the environment. The water is split by electrolysis, making hydrogen which is then synthesised with carbon.
